Hello,
I am working with a client who wants their current website moved to a more user-friendly platform so they can maintain it. I want to know the cost to move this website over to WordPress (I am building the site, then she is maintaining it after I hand it off to her). I wanted to give her an estimate of what it would cost to run this site. It is a very simple site. She have a domain already. She is hosting somewhere else but I assume with WordPress, she can get rid of that? I am newer to this so asking what I can. Long story short, can I get some kind of range of what my client may be paying to run this site?
WP.com: Yes
Correct account: YesThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I’ve done the same thing for several clients over the years. Very hard to beat wordpress.com for handing something off to the client.
They have all the plans and pricing listed here: https://wordpress.com/pricing/

But are there other expenses? Does WordPress become the new hosting site? Are there any certifications I need to buy?

wordpress.com is the host, so everything would move over and would be everything all-in-one. That’s the appeal of using wordpress.com – it’s about as simple as it gets, which is why it’s perfect for passing off to a client. About as good of an option as you’ll get. The hosting and domain can both be through wordpress.com and everything is included.
Plus, the customer service and community is top notch if they ever need help.
