Quote blocks are not working

    When I copy material from another website, and then work on posting the material into a quote block, the quote block often does not hold. I’ve been working around the issue by just using quotation marks around various things I’ve copy and pasted into my WordPress.com journal.

    I’m under the impression that such affects a web spider’s ability to search through my website and index things for a search engine:

    I’m not completely sure what you meant with

    the quote block often does not hold

    maybe you could clarify this.

    But I was trying this out in my own blog and it seems that when I paste any text into a Block Quote it transforms itself into a Paragraph Block (maybe that’s the issue?) so, to fix this, I had to use the first option of the toolbar to change it back into a Quote Block.

    I also noticed that it pasted more than one paragraph, they were transformed into a Paragraph Block for each paragraph, so everything couldn’t be changed into a single Quote Block. In that case, I would recommend copying the parts you want to include into the Quote Block, from the text already pasted in your blog.
