Rad stone theme issues

    Three challanges;

    – Are there any way to change the order of pages in Radstone? They are the correct order in my menu, but pages come up in the wrong order on the “main screen”. I have tried setting the order in page options, but it doesn’t do anything.

    – I tried to make a different “header-picture” for each page to make it all look nice when you scroll down the page, but it looks like the first pages picture just copied itself onto the other ones on the “main screen”. They are all correct when you click into each page tho.

    – How do i make the headline for each page sit nicely on top of the header-picture like it does in the preview of Radstone?

    Best regards
    Sarah

    Hi Sarah. :)

    The pages will display from newest first on the home page. You can therefore edit the date for each of your pages in order to manipulate the ordering.

    It’s also worth highlighting that Radstone isn’t designed to display a listing of your pages on the home page. This has only happened in your case because you have set the same page to be your “Front Page” and “Posts Page” via the Static Front Page panel in the Customizer.

    By design, the static “Front Page” should only display the content from that page while the “Posts Page” should display a listing of your site’s posts.

    It’s a bit of a quirk with the theme that I’ll get reported back to the theme’s author.

    These are both further quirks caused by the fact that the same page has been set as the site’s “Front Page” and “Posts Page.” The featured image for the actual front page is currently being displaying alongside each page and isn’t styled correctly.

    As the theme isn’t actually built to display a listing of pages in such a way, I recommend choosing another page as your “Front Page” or “Posts Page.” You could also select the option to display “Your latest posts” on your site’s home page.

    After selecting different pages, you can then include the content you wish to display on your home page in separate posts.

    Let me know if that’s clear or if you have any extra questions.

    Oh, sorry the theme is called “radcliffe” not Rad stone.
    I got the pages in order now. And changing my “front page” to another page sounds like a great idea, but i have no clue how to do it, or even how to see what page is set as the “front page” or a “post page”?

    Thank you so much for the help so far.
