Radcliff 2 Theme
-
Hi there,
I have a couple of questions regarding the Radcliff 2 theme.
I am in the process of moving over from Pocket to Radcliff as I would like to create a fully fledged website for my coaching business, I just have a few questions before I migrate.
1) When I choose the Radcliff 2 design and click activate, does that also mean that it is published? In other words, if I activate this design, can I work on it without my current pocket theme being modified or taken down while I work on my new version?
2) Is it possible to add extra images to the Radcliff 2 design. For instance, if I write some text, can I insert images surrounding the text? Not just in pre-defined places in the template? If so, what would the CSS code be.
Many thanks

(1) The theme customizer provides a preview function. https://en.support.wordpress.com/customizer/
Once inside the Customizer, you can preview what your site content would look like in a different theme without changing the appearance of the current theme in use.
(2) Yes. First please see here https://wordpress.com/theme/radcliffe-2

Your detailed theme description page is here https://wordpress.com/theme/radcliffe-2
Provided you have purchased either a Business Plan or Premium plan you can edit the CSS. https://wordpress.com/pricing/ But do read Note 2 below.
Note 1: If you have the required upgrade you can use this link https://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum/css-customization#postform so you can create a thread that will appear in the CSS Forum where you will get the help you need with CSS editing.
Note 2: You can also post there prior to purchasing an upgrade to get an answer to whether or not what you want to do can be accomplished via CSS editing.

I have another question. In radcliff I would like to reduce the size of my background image slightly.
How would i do that in CSS (i have premium plan).

You have to create a separate thread using this link https://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum/css-customization#postform in the CSS customization forum for each CSS editing issue that you have.

Yes.

No. You could set up a test site if you’d like to play with Radcliffe 2 on a site that isn’t live, though.

Do you mean your logo, which is currently being used as a background image? I think the simplest route would be to make the image smaller in your graphics program first and re-upload it.

You can download Radcliffe 2 for self-hosted sites here:

Scroll down to where it says “This theme is available for download to be used on your WordPress self-hosted installation.” and you’ll see the download button.
