Radcliffe 2 Theme, custom permalinks
-
I’m developing this website for a friend. She purchased the premium plan through WordPress. I’ve worked with lots of WordPress themes and I’ve always been able to edit the permalinks. I can’t find where to customize the post permalinks on this theme. Normally I’d got to settings, but the option isn’t there. Is this because it’s considered a “Beginner” theme? Or because she purchased a premium pckg, I’m confused. I’d hate to switch themes, but post permalinks are important. Right now they look like this, https://thefinerthingsfurniture.com/2018/03/14/antique-furniture-gallery/
I just want to get the date of there! Any help would be truly appreciated!

Hi there,
With sites hosted here at WordPress.com, you can only customize the permalinks if you have the Business plan. The default post permalink structure always includes the date.
The only part of the URL you can edit is the post slug (under More Options in the Post Settings menu when editing a post, or by clicking edit next to the post permalink under the post title in the original dashboard).
You’d have to self-host a site running the WordPress software from WordPress.org in order to customize permalinks.
There is quite a bit of difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org – you can find out more here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ .
I hope this helps?

Thank you! Yes it does. I’ve always self-hosted my sites, so I wasn’t sure. Thanks again!
