  • Unknown's avatar

    It doesn’t allow for my tag.
    I LOVE my tag.
    Can we code it in as a new thing, by any chance …?
    Pleeease ?
    (I wish Rich were around …)

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Are you talking about as a post tag? I just went into your dashboard and added that tag and it saved with no problems. If that is what you are talking about, it is now there for you to use.

    Hurro dahring ! – I’m always DELIGHTED when you turn up unexpectedly !
    :-D
    I was talking about my subtitle – “It’s all good.”
    But now I realize that I don’t see all the ordinary tags anywhere, either !
    Senility at work ?
    Sighh …
    What did you add ? – and why do I not see anything different ?
    Yes, definitely senility …

    Heh, I didn’t think you were talking about the tagline for the theme. Didn’t even look to see what theme you are using.

    Radcliffe doesn’t display the tagline, but we could use a little CSS trickery to make it appear below the title with this CSS.

    .blog-title:after {
        content: "This is my tagline";
        display: block;
        font-size: 16px;
        margin-top: 10px;
        font-family: open-sans-1,open-sans-2,"Abril Fatface",serif;
        font-weight: 500;
    }

    BRILLIANT ! – ah noo yew could do it !
    Only one thing: it should be Open Sans sans serif, and although I added in the ‘sans’, it’s still showing as sumpn else.
    You see the danger inherent in helping me, Rich – my cries just go on !
    {grin}

    Forget it: it was just cached !!!
    [SMOOOOCH !]
    Thank you, Rich my dear.

    And what about the ordinary post-post tags ?
    They don’t show up either ?

  • Unknown's avatar

    Author and tag information, is by default hidden in Radcliffe, but we can resurrect them with the following CSS.

    .post-meta .meta-block {
        display: block;
    }

    The will appear down below the sharing stuff on single post pages. They will not show on the main page though and there is no way to make them appear there.

  • Unknown's avatar

    Ah … I deliberately got rid of the author info., Rich:
    .post-meta .meta-block {
    display: none;
    }
    And had forgotten.
    Can I keep the author meta out and the rest in, please ?

  • Unknown's avatar

    Finally worked it out. It behaved a bit oddly …
    I know that meta footer is now unbalanced, but I really can’t bear having all that crap about the author …
    Thank you VERY MUCH for your help – unexpected today ! – Rich.
    :-)

    This isn’t a perfect solution, but it almost centers the “about the post” section below the content and doesn’t seem to go awry on smaller screens.

    .post-cat-tags {
        float: none;
    }
    .post-meta {
        border-top: 1px solid #ddd;
    }
    .post-meta .meta-block {
        border: none;
        margin-left: auto;
        margin-right: auto;
        width: 30%;
    }

    You are THE BEST !
    Let’s pretend I’m Tina Turner, eh ? – and I’ll warble a few bars …
    In all seriousness, Rich Spees, you ARE !
    Merci beaucoup et nombreux bisous !!!!
    I can always blame you for the fact that this old dame is still blogging, when readers start to complain.
    {grin}
