Random character appearing

  I am trying to register my domain. I type in “Bam Bam’s Specialty Foods, LLC” but an slash / is entered before the apostrophe. An alert appears telling me I cannot use the slash. I am not entering a slash, though.

  You cannot have an apostrophe in a URL. That’s what the problem is. Remove it and register the URL without it included.

  Also remove that comma. The blog title found here > Settings General can be exactly what you want. The URL cannot contain any special characters or capitalized letters.

  Thanks for your response. The problem was not with the URL address. When registering, WP asks for your desired URL. Then it asks for the name of your blog. My desired url (bambamsfoods.com) was accepted without a problem. The name of my blog (Bam Bam’s Specialty Foods) was not accepted. Somehow a slash was inserted in front of the apostrophe, not by me, but after I submitted the completed form. I removed the apostrophe and all was well.
