Random links embedding in posts/pages
-
While looking at my site recently on a friend’s computer I was disturbed to see that random words in my pages (winemaking, sales training…) were being “captured” and converted to links by commercial interests that had no authorization from me to embed these in my site.
I have never seen this other than this one time but am very concerned and would like to understand how this can happen. Cookies?
I specifically pay to eliminate ads from my site via WP. Any thoughts?
Thank you

WordPress does not use text-enhanced ads. This has come up before and it was caused by browser extension that was installed in the person’s browser. http://wafflesatnoon.com/2011/10/05/seeing-unwanted-text-enhance-ads/
Deactivate all browser add-ons and extensions, run a full computer scan, and then log into your blog again without activating any browser add-ons or extensions and see if the links disappear or not.
