Random massive spike in views has me concerned
-
Hello, I have a small blog page where I post content of projects that our business produces. We average between 75-90 visitors and 100-200 views per day. The average view per visitor is usually right above 1. I went on this morning to check where we were this weekend, and out of no where we have 38 visitors (which is typical for this time of day), but we have almost 1200 views. Most of these are of our home page which usually gets about 10 hits a day. I am sure this is doing wonders for our SEO, but is there anything I should be concerned about? The odd spike doesn’t have any additional referrers, so it would appear that our actual URL is being typed into browser. Something feels amiss. Any advice is appreciated.

hi
I am having the same problem with my site. Suddenly, there is twice the traffic to my site and the post for which it is getting a traffic is not even that huge. So, even i am concenred and my site has google ad sense ads. If it is some kind of bot, google might even punish me.
