Random photos are disappearing

  I’ve just had an issue with random photos going blank on my blog. There’s no pattern to it, just the occasional image has now “disappeared” and a blank void remains.

  I had a browse on here and found some mention about a server or something malfunctioning. I didn’t really understand it. Anyway, I’ve plenty of free space on the blog so it isn’t that.

  I’ve tried deleting and reloading the images but that didn’t work. Any chance this might fix itself eventually?

  We need specific details to help you. What are the URLs of the posts/pages you embedded them into?

  Perhaps you deleted them from your Media Library and they are no longer on servers and cannot be displayed.

  Perhaps you are referring to hotlinking to images hosted on other sites. Doing that amounts to bandwidth theft so many places make sure that the images will not display on any other sites.

  Thanks, but none of that stuff appears to be the cause.

  I think I will wait it out and see if it goes back to normal, as often seems to happen with internet stuff.

  Incidentally, I did manage to get the pics to upload and display properly by modifying them via cropping before uploading them again. Time consuming to do that to all of the blank ones however.
