Random post by category/tag

  Hi all,

  Is there any option of extending the http://www.example.com/?random function to filter down within categories or tags to provide a single quote/poem/image rather than just a random post from everything I’ve ever posted?

  I’ve seen this is possible with WordPress.org but that’s a daunting place, with its coding etc.

  There is no such option I am aware of here at WordPress.COM.
