Random posts appear in the 4th collum of the blog
-
Hi! I’m a little bit embaraced to ask this, just because I found that someone today has already asked this. I have the same problem that youtiquebridal had (https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/random-posts-are-appearing-on-the-right-side-of-my-blog?replies=3#post-835635) and I have already read the troubleshooting tips, but I couldn’t solve the problem :( Can anyone help me? I want to understand why the posts are appearing randomly in the last collum and lefting empty the three collums before. Thank you!

No need to feel embarrassed — we’re glad to help! :-)
I’m not able to see the random posts you’re referring to. Could you send me a link to the specific page or post where this appears?

The post “Maça” used to be under the post ” Imbalance2″, in the left margin, but now is in the right side. Earlier I had an older post and it only appeared when you clicked “Load more posts” (meanwhile I deleted it). In my Reading option, in Settings, I’ve chosen 8 posts to appeared in the front page of the blog.
Thank you! :)

This is basically just how posts work in this theme. It tries to fit them in evenly, so they’re moved around relative to the other sizes, which is really why this is more of a photo theme.

Thank you Macmanx!
Really? Is that a default of the theme? But why did it appeared in order while I was trying other posts? It appeared always left to right :S

I guess it was luck to appear from left to right all the earlier times that I tryed to post. So, it means that the post appear randomly because the photos set the definitions of the presentation? I don’t know if you both understand my question. A small photo in the post will fit, probably, with a bigger one and vice versa?

What about the option “to show the most recent post in the front page of the Blog”? (I’m sorry, today I’m all about questions and doubts) :)

Hi there,
Are you referring to the option to “Show sticky posts below a single post”?
This option allows you to display sticky featured posts on a single post page.
You can make a post sticky by following this guide:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/post-visibility/#sticky-postsYour most recent posts will appear on your front page, but they may be rearrange to ensure that they appear evenly.
If you would like your entries to appear in a conventional order, you might want to check out the Suburbia theme, which was designed by the same group:

Hi Chrisrudzki!
I’m sorry for answering now, but I’ve been away this days. Thanks for you reply to my questions. By now I understood why the posts sometimes appear, in the second line of posts, not necessaraly from the most recents to the older ones. I guess I have to get used to it, because I just liked the layout of this theme.
Although may I say, you really have created me some doubts (about my love for the Imbalance 2 theme) by showing me the Suburbia :) It probably means I’m not so in love with Imbalance, otherwise I wouldn’t have winked the Suburbia ;)
Thanks once again!

Chrisrudzki, you’ve convinced me! I’ve changed to Suburbia and that means more questions :( Sorry.
Do you know the colour that appears in the home page when your passing the mouse on the posts? That horrible light blue? How can I change that? In Imbalance I could change it in “Theme Options”, but Suburbia has no “Theme Options”. Please don’t give me bad news :P
Thanks!

It’s not directly changeable in theme options, but you can alter it via CSS if you have a Custom Design upgrade.
