Random Posts in ‘Posts’ on my account

I’m in the midst of transferring my domains to wordpress.com. I was browsing my account and found a bunch of posts that I did not add under ‘posts’. These are being added to every single domain that I’ve transferred. At the moment, these websites are self-hosted WordPress sites. I have logged into each and double checked that these posts do not actually exist on the sites in question (they do not) so I deleted them from my account. On refresh, every single posts was added back with a new posted date. Some are even marked as ‘sticky’.
What is going on? How do I remove this and why are they being added?

Which WordPress.com website(s) does this appear on?

It’s appearing on all of the ones I’m currently transferring to WordPress.com. I have 19 transferring at the moment (and more to go when these ones finish) and it’s showing in WordPress.com account but no where in the actual wp-admin. None of these sites are using that theme (all custom themes, still on classic). Is there a way to stop the demo content from appearing in my account?

Hey there @jellisontech, it looks like you’ve got a few “domain-only” connections here. Any sites you’re seeing aren’t fully-fledged sites, so I’m surprised you’re seeing that at all. Can you tell us how you got to that page?

When I login and go to Domains, I see this:
Deleting the posts doesn’t help. They just reappear. There are pages under Pages as well, but those didn’t seem as alarming to me (they are all About pages and some of the sites do have those).
At the moment, all the transfers are domain-only but as they are also self-hosted WordPress site, I got worried that these were showing up and my sites had been hacked or something.

Thanks for clarifying. You are seeing that here, yes? https://wordpress.com/posts
To clarify, you should not be seeing those, and the posts listed there are not associated with your domain directly. I’m actually not sure why they are showing up there, but I’m not surprised that you can’t delete them because they technically don’t exist. That’s why you also can’t click on them to visit or view, or edit, or anything else you would normally do with a post.
I’ve got our dev team taking a closer look so we’ll update you as soon as we know more. But for now you can safely disregard, these posts are not associated with your current existing sites, and are definitely not the result of any hacking or questionable behaviour.
