Random text across page

My blog is not appearing correctly… I get some random lines of text appearing across the page… any thoughts? Thanks

Hi there! I do see that odd text. I suspect it may be coming from a page or post that’s got some broken html code on it. Can you tell from the text if it comes from a specific area of your site? If I know where it’s coming from, I can help fix the code that might be interfering with its placement. Thanks!

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. Looks like it comes from the post ” The wreck of the U166″ but may be text that I don’t need. I don’t see it in the text of that post and may have deleted it before posting but this post worked fine at first

Thanks much! I do see the problem. You’ve got a lot of extraneous code on the page. Do you, perhaps copy and paste your content from a program like MS Word? If so, it’d be better if you could paste it into your posts as Plain Text:
I deleted the offending text/code. I copied and pasted it into a draft post I called, “Removed Text.” It’s there if you need it. If you take a look at it, you’ll see the following code inside the brackets:
position:absolute;top:-1999px;left:-1988px;
This took your text and placed it in a specific position on the page, which happened to overwrite your header. If you end up putting the text back into your post, paste the text alone without the <div>tags.

I don’t normally write a post in Word, but did on this occasion, so thanks for figuring that out. There is a second line that it would be great if you could fix as well. If you scroll down the home page you will see it across the photo of the back deck of a ship… Thanks!

It wasn’t in the same post, I took a look at a few of your most recent posts, and found it here:
https://expeditionworkshops.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=622&action=editI’m reluctant to edit this for you, as there seems to be a lot of content (and much of it is repeated), and I don’t want to delete important text.
Could you please take a look and remove extraneous text? You can delete those <div> and </div> brackets altogether.
