“randomly-generated” in the Terms and Conditions
-
In the Terms and Conditions, it says that content cannot be “machine- or randomly-generated”. What are you trying to get at with this? Assume that I have an AI program that goes out each day, scans the news services, and then composes an op-ed piece, trying to be as human as possible — effectively something that is trying to pass the Turing test. The Terms and Conditions would say that that AI program could not post it’s op-ed pieces in a WordPress blog.
Why would you want to prohibit that?
Similarly, programs could generate poetry, or rap music lyrics. Why would it be a bad thing for those to be posted on WordPress?
I spent the time to actually read the Terms and Conditions, and that’s the only thing that seemed out of the ordinary, so I was wondering why?

I’m not staff, but I can answer: They want to make WordPress.com unattractive to blog scrapers and similiar scam artists.
If you have such a program, you should contact staff directly about whether or not that content would be permitted here.
