  Hi, I started a bog and deleted it about nine months ago. I’ve just logged back into wordpress and can still see my old posts.

  The web address is: https://wordpress.com/read/blogs/111454933

  Is it possible to re-activate my blog? My wordpress user name is mary1264

  Apologies if this is a daft question and hope I’m not wasting your time in asking.

  Hi Mary
  I am sorry to say, in the Delete site help page, it tells us

  Deleting a site permanently removes it and you’ll never be able to re-use its WordPress.com address

  so no, regaining that address is not possible

  You could create a new one, but the posts are gone forever. During the delete process you saw a big warning that the posts would be forever gone as well.

  I know what it says on the help pages and I saw the ‘big warning’ when deleting! The point I was trying to make which, was obviously missed in my original post, is that I can still see my old posts hence the reason for my question.

  Hi Mary
  I did see your “point” and went to look at the posts. When i tried to open it, i was directed to the “deleted page” page. I suspect you will too when you try. If you get a different result, i think i will not be the only happily surprised person here :)

  The authors have deleted this site”.

  I must admit that I didn’t realise that posts from deleted sites could still be cached in the Reader. I can see that link. I think you should copy and paste them quickly before they disappear for good.

  Thank you themagicrobot, it’s nice to see that someone understood what I was getting at! I knew the domain had been deleted but I could still see my all my old posts when I logged in this morning which is why I asked if it could be re-activated.

  I have just got home and read your response and have done exactly what you suggested. There were 9 posts in all, 3250 words and now saved in a document.
