RE-ADDING A DELETED SUBSCRIBER
-
Hi, I had a (free) subscriber to my WordPress site that I accidentally deleted. Now he’s tried to re-subscribe, but he’s not receiving a confirmation email, and I haven’t even been able to import him via a CSV file. How do I add him back?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The reason your subscriber is not receiving a confirmation email and the CSV import is failing on amicifuturoieri.wordpress.com is that WordPress.com triggers an automated security block on email addresses that have been recently deleted from a site’s database. This safety mechanism is designed to prevent “spamming” by ensuring a site owner cannot forcibly re-subscribe a user who was removed, which is why your manual attempts to add them back are being silently rejected. To resolve this, you must have the subscriber visit your live website directly and sign up through the Subscription Block or the “Follow” button on your homepage while they are logged into their own WordPress.com account. This user-initiated action signals to the system that the subscription is intentional, which overrides the previous block, triggers the necessary confirmation email, and restores their active status in your dashboard.
