Re ads

I paid an annual fee for several years for my blog to be ad-free. IS THAT STILL AVAILABLE without having to upgrade? I am quite happy with my blog’s format and not really into changing anything. Thank you

  • Hello,

Ads are removed from all paid WordPress.com plans:

I would encourage you to consider the WordPress.com Personal plan. It is a slight increase in price from the old “No Ads” upgrade that was available years ago, but it also offers more functionality.

Thanks for replying, But now I need extra help!

I already have a blog: nancysniche.wordpress and just wanted to remove the ads. Instead of upgrading the nancysniche.wordpress site itself, I mistakenly seem to have created a website domain separate from the free wordpress site, and did not click the “upgrade” option in the free site… (new site doesn’t have all the content from the free site). My sidebar, lists the 2 sites / domains…. one is the free nancysniche.wordpress.com, the 2nd is the new domain I bought (same but without the wordpress)…

What should I do? is it possible to cancel the 2nd domain I got, and instead upgrade my free wordpress site instead without ads and use the same url name

  • Hi there,

I see that you created a second site (nancysnichecom.wordpress.com) by mistake, and I have moved your upgrades back to the correct site instead. You can confirm that nancysniche.wordpress.com is now under the WordPress.com Personal Plan when you look here: https://wordpress.com/plans/my-plan/nancysniche.wordpress.com

Also if you try to visit nancysniche.wordpress.com it now shows up as nancysniche.com instead.

If you wish you can delete nancysnichecom.wordpress.com (your duplicate site) by going here. you do not need this site so it is safe to delete.

    Hope this helps!
