  Hi. How do I re-blog the full version of my own posts from my personal blog to another blog on which I’m an authorised author? Both are wordpress blogs

  Hi Rebecca,

  WordPress.com’s built-in Reblog feature only posts an excerpt of the post that you’re reblogging. If you want to copy more than that, you’ll need to manually copy the post and paste it into a new blog post on your other blog.

  However, one thing to keep in mind is that search engines like Google don’t tend to like blogs with a lot of duplicate content (where you’re reposting an exact copy of a blog post on multiple blogs). Instead, you may want to just post an excerpt or link from one of your blogs that points to the post on the other blog, to encourage readers to visit the other blog to read the full post.

  Hi Rachel. Thank you that’s useful to know. When I tried the re-blog button it said it would re-blog to my main site (RHYMES&REASONS) which is not what I want . I want to re-blog to another site I write for (League of Bloggers for a Better World)
  So how do I post the link/short excerpt to that?

  Hi Rebecca,

  When you use the reblog button, you’ll see your main site listed by default there. But you can click on that site name to open a dropdown menu with a list of all your sites — that way you can choose the other site to reblog the post on.

  If that doesn’t work for you, please let me know! (In that case, if you can give me a link to the post you’re trying to reblog, that will help me figure out what’s going on there.)
