Re-blogging/ sharing

HI, I am new to word press and love it : ) but not sure why when I try to share on wordpress from this site it doesn’t show the full post on mine?
– I used the side bar that pops out clicked on wordpress
– then popped my domain in bridesconfidential.com.wordpress.com

Hi Joan!
I believe you’re using the WordPress sharing icon on the sidebar of those sites you mention. Is that correct? When I use those, I get the following:
Is that what you’re receiving as well? If so, I believe that’s the expected outcome of how those sharing icons will work. They work a bit differently than Reblog buttons work at WordPress.com. It looks like it only gives you the link, and expects you to add more text. Perhaps you could copy the text from the article first to include in the reblog?

Is this when sharing from one of the sites you mentioned? I just want to make sure we’re on the same page.
If so, can you follow these steps?
1. Highlight the part of the post that you want to share along with the link back to the original article. I highlighted and copied the first paragraph for example:
2. Click the + icon on the sidebar and select WordPress as shown below:
Follow the steps to enter your WordPress address.
3. You should see a pop-out where you can customize the content. Paste the paragraph above the link as shown here:
Feel free to add some additional customizations like a “Read more at the full article:” or something to that affect.
4. Publish it to your site. You should get something that looks like this:
