re: cancel wp domain mapping & return to original address -is this automatic?

  If I cancel or transfer a wordpress.com purchased domain, will the blog automatically revert back to the original blog address?

  My situation is more complex and I will explain in more detail if the answer is “no”. This is for my client’s wordpress.com site, not mine.

  If you cancel a domain mapping upgrade yes your URLs will revert to the .wordpress.com URLs. That means every one of the domain URLs will be broken, and every person who clicks on them will experience a 404 page not found error message rather than connecting to your content. it will then take 3 – 4 months for Google and Bing to re-index your content under the .wordpress.com URLs.
