re-connecting new website to wordpress theme and content of the old website

    Hello,

    I had http://rinusvanalebeek.com connected to wordpress. It still appears on my wp-admin, but, of course, I have no access to the site.
    Moreover, the domain now appears to be owned/registered by Yasutaka Sakatani, whom I don’t know.

    I will register now as rinusvanalebeek.nl.

    Is it possible to connect that new domain to the wordpress site (and content) that I used for rinusvanalebeek.com?
    And if so, how should this be done

    I was able to disconnect the site for you. It was unreachable from our end, and I guess a new domain owner would explain that.

    If you still have your old hosting account, sure. Contact the host if needed, so you can get logged in, ask them to help you get the domain pointed there, then use these steps:

    Hello and thanks for answering.

    rinusvanalebeek.nl is now connected to wordpress.com

    And now I am very curious indeed.
    Can this site be connected to the same theme and the same content
    that once was on rinusvanalebeek.com.

    rinusvanalebeek.com appeared on the same dashboard until this afternoon.

    I have no idea how I could do this.
    As it stands now I need to start from scratch.

    But it would be a blessing if I could retrieve the content of the hidden blogs (not adult content, or private, but works of literature that I forgot to put on the hard drive)

    Hi there,

    As @supernovia mentioned, it should definitely be possible assuming your site is still available at the place your site was hosted. You will need to contact that host and have them assist you in attaching the new domain to your old site content. Do you happen to remember the site host you were using for rinusvanalebeek.com?
