Re-direct a post link to a page?
-
Is there anyway you can re-direct a post link to a page link within the same blog? Specifically what I’d like to do is that when people click on the post:
http://barnsburyparish.com/2015/01/01/the-gap/They are taken to the page:
http://barnsburyparish.com/the-gap/Or alternatively is there a way of putting pages instead of posts on the front page in boardwalk? Or removing the dates from the URL for posts? Any of those would be potential work-arounds.
I appreciate there might not be an easy answer to this!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi,
You can set a static page on your front page by going to your WP Admin -> Appearance -> Customize -> Static Front Page. Then select “a static page” instead of “your latest posts.”
In your static page, you can put the content available at: http://barnsburyparish.com/2015/01/01/the-gap/
I hope this information helps. -
Thanks for you reply.
I might be being dim but when I do that it just sets the page:
http://barnsburyparish.com/the-gap/
as the front page.I’m looking to keep the series of different posts (sideways scrolling) that you have on the Boardwalk theme but instead of posts to have pages. Is there a way to do that?

@sjmawhinney
I’ve looked into the Boardwalk theme features and posts are automatically set as part of the sideways front gallery.
Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to find a way to change this to static pages, so maybe some other Member can jump in to answer better your question.
If you don’t hear from any member, you can always type “modlook” in the tags section of this thread for staff attention. -
