Re-directing link through a web host is not WORKING!

  I have a domain I purchased through wordpress.com however I also just singed up to Hostgator.com (webhost).

  The generated link by Hostgator to wordpress should link me to their plugins available for wordpress but the link sends me back to the wordpress.com link.

  I’m not sure how wordpress are tying the http://twosetviolin.com/wp-admin to redirect to https://twosetviolin.wordpress.com/wp-login.php

  Any ideas?

  I’m seeing http://twosetviolin.com/wp-admin redirect to http://twosetviolin.com/wp-login.php just as it should.

  Perhaps your browser was just using cached info? You might try clearing your cache. Or, if you recently made the change, it may just be taking time for the DNS update to propagate. That usually happens in a few hours, but in rare cases can take up to 72 hours.

  Hi rootjosh, I should see a plugins option on the left hand side according to hostgator when I login through their control panel.
  I made the change about 24 hours ago changing the nameserver to hostgator.

  I wanted to access the plugins but the redirect doesn’t allow me to see it.
  Does that make sense?

  Perhaps try clearing your browser cache or using an incognito window.

  plugins are still not there!
  I’ll wait for the 72 hours, unless there is another solution at this point!

  Hi Rootjosh,

  for some reason I had a 404 page error from hostgator when I try to enter twosetviolin/wp-admin through the hostgator link.
  I have contacted them and solved the issue and now it links me to the login page..

  BUT, now I cannot even login with my email and password that I used with wordpress…?

  This link is the one I cannot login to on both platforms (wordpress and hostgator).

  But I am still able to access twosetviolin.wordpress.com/wp-amin through my saved passwords for some reason.
