Re: Featured Image

Problem: After sharing my post on Facebook, the image is a different one in the carrousel, not the one featured in the post. I read your solutions, but I can not locate the following to solve it:
1) “Featured Image” under Screen Options on the Edit Post page. It is not even there.
2) ” Page Attributes” in the lower right hand corner of the Edit Post page. It is not even there. The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
The Clean Home theme does not offer featured image support so you will not be able to use that option. The best alternative would be to include an image that is larger than 200 x 200 in the beginning of the post. However, Facebook may still choose to select the first image within a slideshow.
If you want to be certain which image is shown alongside your posts, you might want to consider changing to a theme that offers featured images:

Do any of those themes catch your eye?

Jeremy, If I took the whole slideshow down just before I publish the post, or substitute only one picture on the slideshow, would that work? I would rather do something like that than change the theme. The last time I did that, there were small things like this that didn’t transfer to the new theme. It was a hassle, and I rather like the “clean home” theme. Thanks for your response in advance.

Hi!
That should work. Facebook should pull the first image within a slideshow so if you would like, you could just place the “featured image” in the first spot of the slideshow and then remove it later if you don’t want it in the finished slideshow. Let’s give that a try on your next post and see if it helps to resolve the issue!
