  I am having trouble adding wordpress follow button to my website. It’s through wordpress site, but is hosted externally. There is a child theme built in but I was told I didn’t need that to add this. I do have jetpack but it is not offered there either. I need to add follow me wordpress button so other wordpress users can follow my site. How do I do that?

  The blog I need help with above is NOT smtraphagen.wordpress.com, it’s smtraphagen.com. I own the domain.

  Sorry but we provide support only for WordPress.COM hosted blogs. You are not referring to a WordPress.COM hosted blog and are posting to the wrong support forum.

  WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums.   If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there.
