Re-Importing Images
-
Hi,
I imported my blog from a previous, self-hosted wordpress installation. At the time I imported, the previous blog was not online. When I checked the newly imported blog entries on my wordpress.com site all the images were missing (I’m pretty sure this is because the previous version of the blog was not online). All missing images were still pointing to their original location on my main web site. I still have access to the site so I was able to post the uploads folder and now all my images are showing up properly. I am wondering, however, if there is a way to re-import the images so that they are all hosted on wordpress.com. I don’t want to edit each post individually. Should I consider dumping the content and re-importing?
Thanks for your help.
Daniel

You can quickly remove your contents by deleting them in bulk. Alternatively, we can empty the whole blog for you, but that will remove all data including posts, pages, tags, categories, comments, and uploaded files.
Once deleted, the data cannot be recovered. If you are sure you want to proceed, please reply to confirm the name of the blog you want us to empty.
After that you can follow the steps in this guide on how to import your blog.
If you run into any issues, feel free to reply back as we’d be happy to assist.
