Re-naming my domain

So i was creating a blog and deleted it before I really understood what I was doing. I would like to have the original domain that I was using but when I went into the address change option it said ‘sorry that site has already been used’ but I was the one that used it and deleted it like 30 min ago. So am I unable to reuse a domain that I created in the first place?

Deleted blog URLs are not recycled, regardless of who registered and deleted them and no exceptions are made except for the one stated there.
You can register another .wordpress.com URL and then purchase an upgrade plan so you can map to an existing domain.
Register another .wordpress.com blog http://en.support.wordpress.com/register-a-blog/
Purchase a domain mapping upgrade knowing it does not matter what the underlying .wordpress.com address is when you are domain mapping.
