Re-ordering of comments

I would like to re-order the comments on my site so that the most recent response is at the top. Is there any way this can be done? Thanks

Yes, but it’s tedious and it will really annoy your readers, as it is completely counter to standard blog useability.
Go into each and every comment and change the timestamp so they are in reverse order. You will have to do this again every time someone makes a new comment.

Think about this. Say you are reading a post. You come to a more tag and click on it so you can read the rest of the post. You get to the bottom of the post and want to read the comments. Since many times comments build or reference off of comments before, if you are reading them from newest to oldest, some of it will be confusing. If you are reading them from oldest to newest, then things will make more sense. Comments in many cases end up like a group conversation and what sense would it make to hear that conversation backwards?
