Re-ordering photos

I carefully order the photos in a slideshow but when I choose ‘update’ to insert it, the order changes. I has happened with 2 different slideshows, each time taking photos added at the end and placing them after the first photo. How can I prevent this re-ordering?

Have you followed the instructions in the Rearrange slideshow images section of the Create a slideshow support page?
A slideshow in a page is content in that page. If you edit that content by modifying the order of images, then the change is similar to editing a paragraph by rearranging sentences and individual words. In either case preserving the ultimately requires updating the page. Are you updating the page after updating the slideshow?
