Re-pairing wordpress site to existing domain

  • Unknown's avatar

We had our website (350philadelphia.wordpress.com) paired to a public-facing domain, 350philadelphia.org, via Domain Pairs. We accidentally let that domain expire a few weeks ago, and paid it a few days late. But the website still doesn’t display. Different browsers offer different error messages such as ‘Safari can’t open the page.’ We were told by Domain Pairs that we have to request WordPress to re-pair the WordPress site to the domain. How do we do this?

    WP.com: Yes
    Correct account: Yes

  • Hello –

Thanks for getting in touch. I’ve found the account where 350philadelphia.org used to be connected. Are you able to sign in to that account and write back to us again in this forum?

All you need to do is sign back in to the account where all the other domains are connected. Once you are there you can add the domain again with whatever hosting plan is needed. I can help you figure out those details with a bit more information about the project. Knowing what functionality you need, what goals you have, etc…

Click on My Sites – Upgrades – Domains to connect the domain to 350philadelphia.wordpress.com again. You can also click on any of the plans below to add that to the account.
