Re-Posting an old Post.
-
I have an article on my blog which I posted last year. I would like to re-publish the article today, due to interest shown in it. Is there a way to do this simply, please? e.g. Is it simply a case of going into ‘Published’ and changing the date and time? And if so, will I lose the ‘Comments’ that are on it and, finally, will it then disappear from it’s ‘old’ position in the archives. Thanks.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

As it’s already been indexed bu search engines and as it is already receiving traffic it makes no sense to create a duplicate post. If you have new information to add to the original post simply edit the post and include that updated information.
Changing the date/time stamp will result in every link to that post being broken. That means that anyone clicking the link to the original post which is indexed and does appear in search engine results will experience a “404” (broken link – page not found). Also note that making that change will not bump the post up in the display on wordpress.com global tag pages. All posts there are displayed in the order of their original date/time stamps no matter how many times the date/timestamp is edited.

timethief; I don’t know what we’d do without you. I think your ‘Hot Post’ is a superb idea. Many thanks indeed.
