Re-registering an expired domain name to a new blog

I had registered the domain name itsohsosweet.com a year ago and accidentally let it expire in March 2012. Recently I was trying to create a new blog and checked and itsohsosweet.com was available. I attempted to just create a new blog with this domain name and purchased the upgrade ($99). However, after I purchased it, it looks like the blog that was created has a name of itsohsosweetdotcom.wordpress.com
Did I not purchase the domain name correctly? Can you please assist with this? I really would like that domain name back.

Howdy!
It looks like you created the blog address, and you have the value bundle linked to the new blog.
Did you actually want the value bundle linked to http://itsohsosweet.wordpress.com/ ?
If so, you can go to Store -> My Upgrades, and click the Transfer to another site link to move the value bundle to that blog.
Once you have the value bundle active for the correct blog, you can add (register) that domain in Store -> Domains with the domain credit that’s included with the value bundle.

Thanks for the help. I transfered the bundle to the correct blog, but it is still not allowing me to register the domain name (itsohsosweet.com). I was the previous registrant of this domain and accidentally allowed it to expire back in March 2012. Before purchasing the bundle, I checked to see if it was available and both wordpress and a few other domain name searches said that it was available for purchase. When I try to register it, I get this message:
“The domain has already been mapped to a wordpress.com blog” What is confusing me is that that domain still shows up when I look at “domains” but it shows that it expired March 2012 and gives me an option to edit DNS.I just want to know how I can re register that domain and attach it to a wordpress site with a bundle. I don’t mind starting a new blog to do this as long as it is attached to that domain.

Ah, the domain mapping subscription was still active (on our end), so I’ve removed it. I’m sorry about that!
You’ll now be able to add that domain in Store -> Domains of that blog dashboard.
