Re-registering domain

Hi There, I registered my domain with wordpress.com but then realized that there is a big difference between .com and .org and that .com is not what I’m looking for as I am not able to upload custom schemes. So I’ve canceled my domain with wordpress.com and was trying to register it again with Bluehost but it says that the domain is already taken. Is there any way how to register my domain again? Thanks for answers ;)

Unfortunately cancelling your domain was not the best course of action. You should have transfered your domain. Once you cancel or let domains expire, it might take time for them to return to the pool of available domains. (this is not on hands of WordPress.com anymore) And if they do, they might be purchased by somebody else from another hosting. How long has passed since you’ve cancelled it? I’ve tagged this thread with “modlook” tag to see if the WP staff are still in time to revert the action or do something like that ;) -

I’ll be happy to contact the registrar to see if we can restore veganinheart.com to your account, but I cannot guarantee that we will be able to get the domain back. If I am successful, I can send you a manual payment request form for you to repurchase the domain.
I will let you know once I hear back from the registrar.
If you want to keep using your domain but you don’t want to use WordPress.com anymore, you don’t have to cancel it. Instead, you can move the domain to another site, using the Domain Administration tool under Store > Domains, at the bottom of the page.
