  Hey, since I got refunded and the domain no longer belongs to me, (stem4everyone.com), what happens if I am able to continue the project later? I understand you said I may not be able to retake the domain, but can I have some more information on how this works ?

  Hi there!

  Once you cancel a domain, you give up ownership of the domain and it’s free to be purchased by anyone else approximately 5 days after the domain was cancelled.

  If someone else would purchase the domain, they would then own it and be able to use it however they wish for whatever site they want.

  If you ever want to use that domain in the future, it’s recommended you keep paying for the yearly registration to ensure you will have it to use in the future. We can still recover the domain while it’s in the cancellation period – you would just need to pay for the $19 yearly registration fee again.

  Thank you so much, it does clarify things. I will probably purchase it again within its cancellation period. I was able to get financial and technical help and I believe we may restart the project. Thank you so much!
