Re-using my domain name as a blog afresh each year

I bought a Domain Name (some years back) but want to start using it anew, with the same url each year! Is that possible? I was hoping to be able to archive this year and start 2015 with a clean sheet. and continue that practice into the future, to alleviate having to create a new *****.wordpress .com blog each year.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hello there,

If you want to use the same custom domain for a new website, you have two choices:

    1. Create a new WordPress.com site each year (which is as simple as filling out a quick registration form), and moving your domain to that site. You can then make your old site private, so it’s inaccessible to anyone else.
    2. Delete all the content from your current WordPress.com site, and start filling it up with new content again from square one. If you take this option, you cannot archive the content, it will have to be deleted. However, you can create an export/backup of your content before you delete it.

If there’s any confusion at all between the difference between your WordPress.com website and your WordPress.com-registered domain name, and how they work together, this could help:

If I can help provide any other information, please do let me know! Thanks much.
