Re-Using Old Passwords
-
There’s a long and unnecessarily lengthy explanation for why I want to re-use an old password and it is is of no relevance. Bottom line is I do. But I get the “You’ve recently used this password. Try something new.” prompt and am not able to proceed.
Questions:
1a. Can WP’s password history be exhausted?
1b. If so, how many changes will it take?
2a. Does password history naturally expire?
2b. How long does this take? Days? Months? Years?
3. In the event that neither 1 nor 2 is possible, is there any channel I can approach to have my old password hashes manually wiped from the database?
4. Why is there no option along the lines of a checkbox saying “I understand the risks”? I *do* understand the risks. Why does the modern world try so hard to protect people from themselves? It comes at a great inconvenience to those who don’t want/need protecting. Please, someone enlighten me. I’ll be the first to admit if my POV is wrong, born of ignorant, or the result of intolerance. In the meantime, some “hacks” to make my old password reusable will be appreciated.

Not just a shameless bump, I’ve answered some of my own questions:
1a. I don’t think it’s (within reason) exhaustible.
1b. At least more than 30 changes if at all possible. If someone could get back to me since support is down. Thanks.
