Re: Your 2013 in blogging – Private blogs?

How is this possible: on a private (test) blog, where I am the only user, it would generate 533 views?
This is very concerning.
-
Quite normal actually – on public blogs, logged in views do not count – However, on Private blogs, logged in users are counted, else you would never have a page view at all!!!!

where I am the only user
This is why I have tagged this for Staff input. I don’t think Ismailimail is quite so narcissistic. :)

The stats switch is only Public / Private – no distinction is made for single user blogs vs. multiple user blogs – many Private blogs have many users – such as family blogs, or homeowner association blogs

I think auxclass has answered everything pretty well.
As far as different regions go, my guess is that the other views could have come from staff members at WordPress.com.

okay, that makes sense. Yes I did have staff look at things in the background this year.
You could probably spare time/energy by not running the stats on single user private blogs.
Thanks.
