React: decrease header height

  I have the react theme and am wondering if it is possible to decrease the header height. I have a lot of white space to the right of my logo, beneath my pages menu. Is it possible to alter the dimensions of the header to make it shorter? Also, is a custom header possible with the react theme? Thank you.

  Yes to both, via modifications to the CSS which requires the Custom Design Upgrade.
