Reactivate closed account

  My account was closed and I want to reactivate it. I read that WordPress can reactivate an account within 30 days. I had to use a different account to post this request because my other one wouldn’t let me because it said it’s closed.

  What account? WordPress.com accounts closed by their user can be reactivated only if it is within 30 days from date of deletion. https://en.support.wordpress.com/close-account/

  If this involves a suspended WordPress.com website, you will need to work with the Terms of Service team because we cannot resolve site suspensions here in the public forums.

  Hi, thanks for the quick response.

  The account name is leoschuehle. My website was deleted alongside my account. There were no posts but I’m just upset about losing the domain name, recordretrospects.wordpress.com. I understand if that’s lost though.

  Thanks for any help in restoring my account. It was deleted within the last 30 days.

  It was also deleted by me, not WordPress.

  I’ve tagged this thread for Staff attention. Thanks for your patience while they get back to you.

  I’m not entirely clear because it seems like the leoschuehle username account is only a couple of hours old and the website recordretrospects.wordpress.com is up and running (i.e. not deleted) and the author of the single post on that site is the one you are logged in with and posted from in the forum.

  Are you unable to log into the leoschuehle account? You said,

  Can you give us the exact message that you received when trying to log into that account?

  hey, sorry about all of this, but I’ve actually got it all figured out at this point.

  I guess I was just too quick to post asking for help, when some troubleshooting kind of fixed it for me.

  Hi there,

  We can only undelete an account if the request comes from the email address that was associated with the deleted account. Please reply to the account closure email we sent you if you still need help with this, as I see the account in question is still deleted.
