Reactivate Deleted Blog
-
Hello,
I made the mistake of deleting my blog years ago. Though I’m able to log in and seem to still have the web address, no content is there. Is there any way you can reactivate everything? I would be extremely grateful.
Thank you!

What is the URL of the site you are trying to access? We’ll be happy to take a look and see if we can help.

Hi there,
That site was deleted in July 2014.
We are only able to restore deleted sites for 30 days after deletion, so it is no longer possible to restore that site.

OK. Thanks. I read somewhere that Google sometimes caches sites. Is it possible to restore some or most of it that way? Or is this a myth? If it’s not a myth, would I need to ask a third party to help me with this?

It looks the Internet Archive made 19 snapshots of your site, http://web.archive.org/web/2019*/thedoublestandard.wordpress.com

It’s unlikely that Google would have kept a cache of your site for that long – they update their caches every few weeks. But the Internet Archive is usually a good place to check, and as @staartmees said above, they still have some snapshots of your site in the Wayback Machine.

Thank you both very much! If I upgrade to a paid plan, can WordPress help me use Internet Archive to restore what I can of the site? Or do I need to get a third party to do this?
