reactivate old blog

  i deleted by mistake my blog onceuponalaika.wordpress.com. now i want to reactivate the old one or create another one with the same name but i can’t. what to do? i didnt know it wasn’t possible to take the name back, as it’s not written while somebody is deleting their blog. please help, otherwise i can’t use your platform. thanks

  i thought it meant “you lose all the content”, not the url aswell.. so it’s gone forever i guess.

  Though deleted blog URLs are not recycled you can register another blog with a similar name. http://en.support.wordpress.com/register-a-blog/

  Or you can register a domain vis a domain mapping upgrade and it will not matter what the underlying .wordpress.com address is.

  P.S. Also note that bulk deletion is a means we have of emptying all blog content, retaining the URL and filling a blog with new content.
