Reactivate old blog

    I had a WordPress.com blog last year, which I decided to delete.

    However, I have tried to reactivate it to work with its content again.

    Unfortunately, although my WordPress.com blog URL appears in my Gravatar page, I can’t navigate to it and the message:-

    ‘XYZ.wordpress.com is no longer available.

    The authors have deleted this site.’

    Obviously I have deleted it but I would like to know if there is anyway to reactivate it. I ask this question because the WordPress.com blog has just the right combination of my first and surname, e.g. johnsmith or edwardjames etc;

    If anyone can clarify this for me, I should be grateful for any help.

    gone is gone forever – sorry to say you were warned about that – that is also why I tell people to NEVER delete their blog but to set it to Private – just in case they want to use the name again

    You will need to figure out a new name or buy a custom domain name and map it to a blog
