reactivate old site
-
I’m trying to reactivate my website for http://www.girdwoodarts.org. I don’t see it in my sites in my wordpress account. I’m also trying to reactivate my account.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi, I had the same issue when I tried to bring back an older WordPress.com site that wasn’t showing in “My Sites.” What worked for me was:
- First, I confirmed which email address I originally used for the site — turns out I had logged in with a different account, so the site wasn’t showing under my current login.
- I used the Account Recovery form with my domain name to get back the right account.
- Once I logged into the correct account, I could see the site again and renew/reactivate the plan from there.
If the site or account is inactive for a while, sometimes only WordPress.com support staff can restore it. In my case, I contacted support and they helped me reassign the domain to my account so I could manage it again.

That site isn’t hosted here at WordPress.com. It’s over there at Godaddy so perhaps your first task is to reach out to them.

Hi @girdwoodarts, I see that you have an ongoing email ticket with me, so I’ll continue assisting you there to restore your website that you had with us previously. The domain is registered on GoDaddy, but was pointed to WordPress.com – so we can retain the same setup! I’ll walk you through the details, so please look for my email response!
