Reactivating my account after I deactivated it. Transferring to WordPress.org

i deactivated my business account today and I’m regretting that. The plan is to transfer from WordPress.com to WordPress.org. I downloaded my site files but it’s proving to be much more difficult that I thought. I thought starting fresh would be the solution since my site name is hosted by authenttic which is WordPress.com but I can’t unlock my domain for 60 days. As you can see today is filled with frustration.

I’m rambling on, but my question are:

    # 1 can I reactivate my WordPress account? And business account that I had ?

#2 can I transfer my original domain of peoniesandpetals.beauty to a WordPress.org so that I can continue working on it there?

#3 can I transfer the host from authenttic Inc to A2 hosting?

    # 4 can I unlock my domain? If I cannot and per ICANN rules have to wait until Nov to do so, can I buy another domain through A2 and forward my prior site (peoniesandpetals.beauty) customers to a new domain name until I can unlock my original domain?

thank you for any help !

I shared a summary with you directly via your account dashboard. Here are some of the details I shared:

When you register any domain, no matter the registrar, there will always be a 60-day transfer lock applied. However, you own the domain and you can use it with any hosting provider, even one not hosted on WordPress.com. Here is a guide that describes the settings that you would commonly change to point the domain to a different host: https://wordpress.com/support/domains/change-name-servers/#changing-name-servers-to-point-away-from-word-press-com

So, in summary, you don’t need to register a new domain because you can use your domain right away with any host. Additionally, you can wait until the 60 day transfer lock is lifted and transfer the domain at that time if you choose.
