Reactive and transfer a domain

  I want a domain name for my company (fgswaterloo.org) but I accidentally get this domain name with my personal account ((email visible only to moderators and staff)). Now I need to get this domain (fgswaterloo.org) using my business account ((email visible only to moderators and staff)). Please help!

  It looks like you’ve canceled the domain name, meaning you no longer own it.

  Please let us know which of these options works best for you:

  Wait: You can wait about five days from cancellation for the domain to be released. So long as no one else buys it before you do, you can purchase it again with another provider.

  Repurchase the Domain: We can send an invoice and restore the domain.

  Repurchase a Plan: To host your site here after all, buy a plan, skip the domain option, then update us here.

  If you choose either repurchase option, they do need to be done under this account, but you can transfer them to a different account once that’s completed: https://wordpress.com/support/transferring-a-site-to-another-wordpress-com-account/

  I choose to

  1. repurchase the domain, please email me the invoice to my personal account
  2. Once I’ve paid, please assist me to transfer the domain to another (my company) account
  3. Once the domain is transferred to my company account, I will purchase a plan. Do I still have the one-year domain free discount then if I purchase the domain before I purchase a plan?

  The paid plan includes a free domain, we won’t need to charge you the $18 extra.

  In that case, if you intend to have a paid plan, what I recommend is you start the site under this account and purchase the paid plan.

  When purchasing the plan, skip the domain adding step, and let us know here.

  Once that’s done, we’ll recover the domain, and you’ll then be able to move all of that to the desired account.

  Excellent, I have recovered https://fgswaterloo.org and attached it to the site with the plan.

  You can now transfer the site, along with the domain and plan, to the desired account by following the steps at https://wordpress.com/support/transferring-a-site-to-another-wordpress-com-account/
