How can I disable the read more function and have all posts displayed? This is a static page and probably will not ever change.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there inezshaw50,

The Read More functionality is, in this case locked with this particular theme, but we should be able to get around this by making this into a standard page. If you’d like to read more about the difference, here’s a support article about the it.

Here’s a support article on setting and configuring a static front page (as well as an excellent video). If you need more directions on doing this with your site, I’ve written out my own ones below.

These instructions detail how to copy the contents of the post to a page, and then set it as the home/front page.

Head on over to the Blog Posts page. https://wordpress.com/posts/upsilonmuzeta.org For yours, there will probably only be one, which is the one you want as your home page. Click ‘Edit’ on that post. The post editor should open up. Click inside the text field, and copy everything in the to the clipboard. The easiest way to do this is to press Ctrl+A to select everything, and Ctrl+C to copy.

In the upper-left corner, press the button that looks like an arrow pointing left. Underneath ‘Blog Posts’, you should find a menu called ‘Pages’. Click the ‘Add’ button.

You should get a new editor. Name the title of the page ‘Home’. Now click inside of the text box. Hit Ctrl+V to paste the contents of the clipboard into the editor.

In the upper-right corner, click ‘Publish’.

Now that the page is published, we’re going to head into the customizer to set it as your home page.

Head over to here to open up the customizer.

In the left-hand sidebar, click the button that says ‘Static Front Page’.

    Where it says:

‘Front page displays’, click ‘A static page’.

‘Now, under ‘Front page’ click the drop down, and find the page named ‘Home’. That’s the one we created earlier.

Click Save & Publish. That’s it! Your home page should appear as you intended it to be.

If everything looks right, you can discard the old post. Should the home page need to be edited in the future, you’ll find it over here.

Let me know how that works for you. If you need any more assistance, I’ll be happy to help!

    ~Chris
