"Read more" button

    Hi! I’d have another question with CSS: how can I delete the “read more” button on the posts in the slider on the homepage?
    Indeed, I don’t want the slider posts to be opening. Insead, I would like them to be linking to another site’s page for example: is there a way of doing it?

    The theme I’m using is: purpose.

    Many thanks!!

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    You can’t change the way the post slider works, the links will always be to the post in question, however we can remove the read more link and make the main post titles unclickable. Try this out and see what you think:

    .home-slider .more-link {
      display: none;
    }
    .home-slider .headline a {
      pointer-events: none;
    }

    Hey Hallluke, many thanks!!

    And do you know by chance what happens if I insert a video? Would it work, or should I specify in that case to which sliders the above CSS applies?

    I don’t think the post slider works with videos, just with featured images but you’re welcome to try.

    Yes with the purpose theme I should be able to add a video to the slider. I’m just wondering if I can keep JUST 1 post slider clickable in case I add a video :)

    That CSS code just turns off pointer events for the link text anchor element so it shouldn’t affect a video but the only way to find out is to try it out and see.

    All right, many thanks!
