Read more button homepage dyad theme

  Hi,

  How do i make the read more button apear on my homepage? I already tried everything but it doesn’t seem to work. I added more words but the text just fades away.

  Hi there,

  Dyad will only display the Read More button if you’re using the theme’s default, auto-generated excerpt. It won’t display the button if you use the more tag to create your own custom excerpt, as you as are currently.

  You can therefore remove the more tags from your posts in order to get the buttons to display.

  Let me know if that’s clear or if you have any extra questions.

  I deleted the more tag as you say but it doesn’t change anything

  Hi @mminterieur,

  The Read More button won’t display if you’ve manually created excerpts via more tag or using the Excerpt module in your post’s editor. I can see you’ve used that module to create custom excerpts for your posts, which is why the button isn’t displaying alongside them.

  The button only displays when you’re using Dyad’s default, auto-generated excerpt.

  Hi everybody,

  I’m also having difficulties with the “Read more” button (“En savoir plus” in french) on my website http://www.ciepapiertheatre.fr/

  The button only displays on 1 article, but not on the others (although we don’t use manual excerpts). Any idea where this problem can come from ?

  Hi @bastienpyz,

  Do your posts have more than 55 words? If not, Dyad won’t display the Read More button as it would be possible for visitors to see all of its words from the home page.

  II’m not currently seeing Dyad when visiting ciepapiertheatre.fr. Do you have the theme active on another WordPress.com site? If so and you’d like further help, please create a new thread on this forum and share a link to your site.
