Read more buttons

Hi
When I used to post a blog post, it automatically added a nice ‘Read More’ button on my homepage. However, that hasn’t happened with my most recent post and so I have had to add the link via some code. But it doesn’t look great. Can anyone help?

Hi there,
It is in the NEWS section on this page
https://richardwiseman.wordpress.com/All of the posts on this page appear to show the full text instead of a summary:
https://richardwiseman.wordpress.com/blog-2/As a global setting change, you might want to have a look under Reading Setting here:
https://wordpress.com/settings/general/richardwiseman.wordpress.comAs the setting there notes:
For each post in a feed, includeLastly, because it depends on each theme how content displays on browsers, one can have more granular control as to where the Summary ends by utilizing the More block:

Hi there!
In general, to display only an excerpt of your posts on WordPress.com, you’ll want to go to Customize>Content Option:
The setting that @anastas10s mentioned above is for the feed, affecting how the newest post is emailed to your subscribers, rather than how it will look on your site.
If you still need help, remember that with your plan, you can access Live Chat directly via https://wordpress.com/help/contact. That way, you can get help faster.
